A76 Skerrington Resurfacing – Scotland Transerv

A76 Skerrington Resurfacing

Scotland TranServ, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will resume resurfacing of the A76 at Skerrington Roundabout this week.

Works were earlier amended due to bad weather. In order to complete the remainder of the project, it will be necessary to carry out the programme under a daytime convoy system.

Anthony Chambers, Scotland TranServ’s Structural Maintenance design lead on the works said:

“This project was unfortunately affected by bad weather during November, and therefore it was necessary for us to amend our plans. In order to protect the safety of our workers and the travelling public, it will be necessary to implement a daytime convoy to complete the programme.

“We will be resurfacing nearly a kilometre of the trunk road between Skerrington Roundabout and Borland Road. The daytime convoy will therefore be in operation during the week from Monday 17th December. We would ask drivers to please allow some additional time for their journeys.”

The daytime convoy will be in operation from:

  • 8am to6pm each weekday from Monday 17th to Friday 21st of December
