Erskine Bridge Manhole Installation
Scotland TranServ is carrying out overnight works on the Erskine Bridge to install five new access manholes.
The manholes, along the central reservation, will allow improved access to the interior of the bridge’s box girder.
The £450k project will be carried out over a four week period thoughout March, and requires the closure of the lane adjacent to the central reservation.
Peter McCann, Scotland TranServ’s Major Bridges Manager said:
“This is an important project that will allow us far easier and safer access to the Erskine Bridge main structure. Working with contractor Highway Barrier Solutions we will install the manholes in the central reservation with maximum efficiency and minimal disruption.”
