Road Safety team scoops prestigious award
Scotland TranServ has rounded off 2018 by scooping a prestigious Prince Michael International Road Safety Award.
The Strategic Road Safety team rubbed shoulders with road safety winners from as far afield as India, Kyrgyzstan, Australia, Myanmar and Malaysia. Organisations the likes of the AA, Renault, Goodyear and Queensland Police also competed.
Collecting the award from His Royal Highness, Road Safety Manager Vincent Tait said:
“We are delighted to receive this accolade from Prince Michael today. This more prestigious of awards is the peak achievement within the road safety industry. After more than a year of hard work, this is a fantastic achievement for our team, but our greatest reward is saving real lives and protecting real families.”
The Premier Award was won by the Institute of Road Traffic Education (IRTE) from Delhi.
Also attending the event was Scotland TranServ’s Operating Company Representative, Andy Fraser, who added:
“We’re all extremely proud of the Strategic Road Safety team’s achievements. This is an all-round effort from a number of our departments, and is testament to our innovative approach, backed up by solid civil engineering knowledge. Their commitment to achieve the best for communities across South West Scotland has been rewarded today, and I’m sure many more of their colleagues will follow in the years ahead.”
