Supporting Glasgow SE Foodbank this Christmas
Scotland TranServ’s Christmas charity week of action continues with an amazing employee donation to the Glasgow SE Foodbank.
As well as donating 21 bags of shopping to the worthy local cause, warm-hearted workers also raised a staggering £205. The funds were used to buy an online shop, which was delivered directly to the Butterbiggins Road organisation.
This year we’ve donated everything from tinned ham and children’s selection boxes to shampoo, soap and even fluffy slippers.
Andy Fraser, Scotland TranServ’s Operating Company Representative said:
“This is really helping our community. The Glasgow SE Foodbank is located about a mile from our head office in Polmadie. This is the second year we’ve donated much needed food to the charity at Christmas. While it’s nice to give families a lift at Christmas, we realise this is a year-round issue and that’s why we’ll be collecting again in the summer and supporting them with volunteer days when they need our help.”
