Scotland TranServ commenced the management and maintenance of network operations within the South West Unit on 1 April 2013 on behalf of Transport Scotland; an executive agency of the Scottish Government.
Transport Scotland operates five distinct maintenance units across the country with Scotland TranServ acting as the operating company in the south west region.
The contract runs until 15th of August 2020, but is extendable beyond this for up to another two-and-a-half years.
The map below highlights the 700km of motorway and designated trunk road routes across south west Scotland that are currently maintained by Scotland TranServ, on behalf of Transport Scotland.
