Scotland TranServ, on behalf of Transport Scotland will this weekend carry out safety barrier replacement work at the A77 Bellfield Interchange near Kilmarnock.

In order to complete these works as quickly and safely as possible, it will be necessary to implement single lane closures on the trunk road and close the middle section of the roundabout above.

Stephen Batchen, Scotland TranServ’s Senior Bridge Engineer said:

“In order to keep disruption to a minimum these works have been scheduled for weekend overnights. We would advise drivers to allow some extra time for their journey, with local diversions in place where necessary. We hope to complete this short project overnight on Friday, however have Saturday as a contingency should more work be required than initially estimated.”

To limit the impact on the motoring public, traffic management will be in place at the A77 Bellfield Interchange from:

• 10pm on Friday 15^th to 5am on Saturday 16^th March, and
• 10pm on Saturday 16^th to 5am on Sunday 17^th March (should it be required)
