A76 New Cumnock Wall
Scotland TranServ, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is progressing a slope stabilisation and replacement of collapsed wall scheme on the A76 adjacent to New Cumnock railway station.
The programme of works will stabilise the slope which supports the A76 trunk road by widening it, replace the existing structure with a new barrier system to contain errant vehicles and remove the longstanding temporary barrier that is currently in place.
Works start on Monday 11th February for approximately six weeks. This will require the installation of temporary traffic lights for the duration of the scheme.
In order to protect the health and safety of our workers and the travelling public, two overnight closures will also be required towards the end of the programme, allowing us to resurface this section of carriageway. Local diversions will be in place.
