A77 Dalquat Overnight Lining Works
On behalf of Transport Scotland, Scotland TranServ will deliver a short programme of overnight lining and studding on the A77 between Dalquat and Minnybae, east of Turnberry.
In order to complete these works as quickly and safely as possible, with minimal impact on commuters and freight traffic using this busy route, works will be carried out overnight between Friday 6th and Saturday 7th of December.
Dayle Gillespie, Scotland TranServ’s project lead on the scheme said:
“These works will conclude our resurfacing project from earlier in the year. The project was hampered by adverse weather conditions, delaying the conclusion of the works. Having engaged with the local authority, emergency services and key stakeholders, we are confident that any disruption will be kept to a minimum.”
To deliver this resurfacing project, it will be necessary to close the A77 trunk road at this location between the following times:
- 8pm on Friday 6th until 6am on Saturday 7th of December
Special arrangements will be made for emergency service vehicle access. Drivers, particularly those heading for ferry terminals, are advised to allow an additional 10 minutes for the local diversion route.
