On behalf of Transport Scotland, Scotland TranServ will this week resurface outstanding stretches of the A77 Maybole North Gateway.

Works were postponed in February due to adverse weather conditions. To keep disruption to a minimum while these remaining elements are completed, we will implement an overnight convoy system.

David Montgomery, Scotland TranServ’s Assistant Engineer said:

“The first phase of the A77 resurfacing programme was postponed in February due to high winds and heavy rain. A further phase of resurfacing works was completed in March. Scotland TranServ will now return to Maybole to complete this outstanding programme under an overnight convoy system.

“We have continued to work in consultation with the local authority, emergency services and key local stakeholders to carefully programme these works for minimal impact on the commuters, businesses and the community.”

In order to deliver these works as quickly and safely as possible for our workers and the travelling public, this project will be completed under overnight convoy during the following times:

• 8pm Friday 29^th to 6am on Saturday 30^th March
• 8pm Saturday 30^th to 6am on Sunday 31^st March
• 8pm Sunday 31^st March to 6am on Monday 1^st April
• 8pm Monday 1^st to 6am on Tuesday 2^nd April
• 8pm Tuesday 2^nd to 6am on Wednesday 3^rd April
