M8 Eastbound Junction 31-30 Overnight Resurfacing
On behalf of Transport Scotland, Scotland TranServ will carry out the overnight resurfacing of 0.5km of the M8 Eastbound between Junctions 31 and 30.
In order to complete these works as quickly and safely as possible, it will be necessary to close the trunk road overnights only on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd of November.
Liam Browne, Scotland TranServ’s Network Area Manager for Greater Glasgow said:
“We have been working in consultation with local councils, emergency services and key stakeholders to carefully schedule this short programme of works. This essential resurfacing work will see road surface improvements to carriageway surface in the Bishopton area. We would like to take this opportunity to thank drivers for their patience while we deliver these tangible, long-term improvements to one of Scotland’s busiest motorways.”
To deliver this programme of work, it will be necessary to implement closures of the M8 Eastbound between junctions 31 and 30 during the following times:
- 8pm on Thursday 21st until 6am on Friday 22nd November
- 8pm on Friday 22nd until 6am on Saturday 23rd November
Local diversions will be in place throughout. Traffic management will only be implemented once flows are sufficiently low to install safely. Drivers are advised to allow some additional time for their journey. Live trunk road information is available by visiting trafficscotland.org, or by following @trafficscotland on Twitter.
