TranServ named finalists in CIPR Excellence Awards
Scotland TranServ’s Communications team has been nominated alongside counterparts at Transport Scotland, Traffic Scotland, BEAR Scotland and Amey for the prestigious CIPR Excellence Awards.
Together the combined communications efforts of Transport Scotland and its Operating Companies made the finals for their efforts in keeping drivers fully informed throughout last year’s ‘Beast from the East’ extreme weather front.
The partnership is facing stiff competition in the Issues, Crisis or Reputation Management category from SGN, Wiltshire Police, University of Glasgow, UKTV and the British Horseracing Association. Issues tackled range from nerve agent attacks to equine influenza.
Andy Fraser, Scotland TranServ’s Operating Company Representative said:
“Making the finals of their industry awards is testament to the wider efforts of this small but talented team. As well as leading our own communications through the ‘Beast from the East’, they worked alongside our client and counterparts across the country to ensure messaging was consistent throughout this challenging weather front. They played their part in keeping South West Scotland moving, broadcasting important messages to allow drivers to make informed decisions.”
