Winter Service Operations: Unit 580 Health & Safety
Course Summary
City & Guilds Winter Service Operations is split into various units. Unit 580 is the health & safety unit which is compulsory for operatives. Following competition of this unit delegates will be required to complete at least one assessment unit using a winter service vehicle appropriate to the category being assessed.

Course Objectives
Following completion of this delegates must complete one other practical unit in order to achieve the City & Guilds Winter Service Operations qualification. Practical units are as follows: (Dates available on request)
511 – Prepare and operate winter service vehicles up to 3500kg (Inc tractors)
512 – Prepare and operate winter service vehicles 3500kg to 7500kg
513 – Prepare and operate winter service vehicles over 7500kg Large LGV
550 – Operate snow blower (Rolba 400 or 1000)
560 – Operate snow blower – dedicated
