A76 Railbridge to Skerrington Rbt – Scotland Transerv

A76 Railbridge to Skerrington Rbt

As part of Transport Scotland’s strategic trunk road management programme, Scotland TranServ will complete the resurfacing of the A76 Railbridge to Skerrington Roundabout near Cumnock.

The resurfacing programme has been rescheduled on two occasions due the impact of severe weather on our works.

The revised dates for the completion of this programme will be from Monday 4th to Wednesday 6th February under daytime convoy.

Tony Chambers, Scotland TranServ’s Project Design Lead on the programme said:

“This programme was hampered by a number of extreme weather events towards the end of 2018. In order to keep disruption to a minimum for local commuters and businesses, we will look to undertake the works under daytime convoy. We have consulted with local authorities, key stakeholders and emergency services on the scheduling of this programme.”

The convoy traffic management system will be implemented at 8am each morning and lifted by 6pm each night. Special arrangements have been made for emergency service vehicles.

Motorists are advised to allow some additional time for their journeys. Live travel information is available at trafficscotland.org, or by following @trafficscotland on Twitter.
