Role

To provide Asset Management and GIS input to assist the GIS Team leader in managing the network asset within a Trunk Road Management and Maintenance Contract.

Accountabilities

  • Assist the GIS team leader in delivery of works programmes, prioritisation of workloads, inspections and projects ensuring timeous delivery
  • Manage network through a variety of inspections required both on site and office based
  • Regular liaison with GIS team Leader and other team members
  • Assist in the development of data sets
  • Deliver GIS support and data management within projects to a high standard
  • Attend audits as and when required
  • Maintain and update network assets
  • Give regular progress updates and attend meetings as required
  • Effective response to customer enquiries
  • Delivery of GIS support
  • Meet performance targets
  • Undertake own continuous professional development
  • Compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation
  • Take Care reporting and interventions
  • Clear focus on delivery of KPIs
  • Condition of network assets kept under review
  • Asset management system kept up to date

Personal Qualities & Experience

  • Ability to carry out walked site inspections across the Network.
  • Knowledge and experience in successful data management
  • Full driving licence
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Effective team player
  • Computer literate
  • Self-motivated
  • Flexibility
  • Proven track record in GIS
  • Knowledge of road assets and infrastructure
