18 July 2013

Road users are set to benefit from £140k of improvement works at M74 Happendon Junction 11 northbound beginning 26 July 2013.

Scotland TranServ on behalf of Transport Scotland will carry out resurfacing works to improve the quality of the running surface for years to come.

The works will be delivered over one weekend when traffic flows are lighter. A contraflow will be in operation from 9.00pm on Friday 26 to 6.00am on Monday 29 July.

Russell Rennie, contract director, Scotland TranServ comments:

“This essential maintenance scheme is vital to ensuring we prolong the lifespan of the road surface benefiting road users for years to come.

“Regrettably, there will be some delays however we would advise motorists to plan ahead and leave plenty of time for their journeys.”

Motorists can keep up to date with real time traffic information by visiting www.trafficscotland.co.uk or following @Traffic Scotland on Twitter. Advanced warning signs will also be in place on the approach to the off slip to inform motorists that roadworks are taking place.
