Local road users will continue to benefit from over £220k of works to the A898 Erskine Bridge beginning Tuesday 5 January.
Scotland TranServ, operating on behalf of Transport Scotland, will carry out cable retensioning works to ensure the long term resilience of the Bridge.
Safety is of the utmost importance and to protect our workforce and motorists the work will take place overnight under fast lane closures, in both directions, between 8.00pm and 6.00am on Tuesday 5 January to Sunday 7 February 2016

“We have done everything we can to plan these works when traffic flows are lighter in order to minimise disruption to local residents and the travelling public.”

Local road users are set to benefit from over £120k of essential maintenance works on the A78 dual carriageway trunk road between Chapelhill and Sharphill Roundabouts, near to Three Towns Bypass, beginning on Monday 14 December 2015.
The resurfacing works by Scotland TranServ, operating on behalf of Transport Scotland, will take place on the southbound carriageway over three night time closures.
Safety is of the utmost importance and to protect our workforce and motorists the work will take place under a total closure of the A78 trunk road from 8.00pm to 8.00am, southbound only, between Chapelhill and Sharphill Roundabouts. A local diversion will be in place.
Diversion Route:
Motorists travelling southbound should leave A78 Montfode roundabout and join A738 Eglinton Rd / Parkhouse Rd. Follow A738 to Pennyburn roundabout and then rejoin A78.

“We have planned and programmed the works to minimise disruption to local residents and the travelling public, so these works will be carried during overnight closures, when traffic flows are lighter. ”
